Columbia Arts Team (CAT) presents
in collaboration with Hudson Valley Community College and The Egg
Youth Theater Program (ages 8-16)
We're taking this show on the road and this year's Youth Theater Program is taking place at Albany's very own Egg. Do you love to act, sing, dance, or tell jokes? Do you see yourself behind the scenes as a director or stage manager? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, the Youth Theater Program is for you! The workshop will take you through the entire process of producing a musical theater piece; from creating the characters, writing the script and developing songs to rehearsing and performing in the final production, which will take place on the last day of the workshop in the Egg's Lewis A. Swyer Theater. No experience is required, just a desire to jump in and put on a show!
The instructional component of the program will run from 9am - 3pm with a half hour for lunch. Our counseling staff will provide supervision of participants from 8am - 9am and 3pm - 4pm each day for those students who arrive early and stay late. Please note: Students should bring their own lunch and snack each day. A current medical release form is required before camp begins and can be downloaded at www.hvcc.ed/kidscamps.60244
