A series of special fundraisers for CAT leading up to the Hudson Valley Songfest on May 12, hit songwriters perform their best songs in an intimate music experience. Get up-close and personal, as the best songwriters of the last 40 years perform their own hits, in the inimitable style only a writer can bring to their own composition. Each show features sets by 2 songwriting legends, as well as an opening set by a great new singer/songwriter.

Thursdays, March 1 and April 5; 8pm
For Musicians, Performers, Songwriters, & Bands. Showcase featuring up-and-coming singer/songwriters. 10 chosen acts will be judged by panelists on the basis of presentation, originality,and songwriting skill. The top 3 will be named as official Best New Artists of the Hudson Valley Songfest7, win valuable prizes, and get an opportunity to perform again in concert the following night.

Open to all local musicians and bands with self-penned tunes, the contest is always exciting and well-attended, with a panel of local music business pros, as well as the audience, choosing a winner based on stage presence, musicianship and songwriting skills.
